Peaberry Coffee House & Kitchen

££ | Coffeehouse/Restaurant Open 9-6pm Sun-Thurs 9-7pm Fri-Sat

This small, family run business is more of a cafe or restaurant than bar, but we thought it was worth a quick mention as you can enjoy a reasonably priced tipple in a warm and welcoming setting.

The drinks menu is pretty impressive, serving a range of wines, beers and bottles. Alongside spritz, mimosas and cocktails priced at a modest 2 for £14. We’d recommend checking out the varied menu, where you’ll find freshly prepared dishes using locally sourced ingredients.

The Pumphouse

££ | Traditional Pub & Dining| Open daily 11-11pm

This traditional pub is set with the iconic Pump House building within the Albert Dock. The pub is owned by the Greene King chain, meaning that the menu is varied and reasonably priced, however you’ll most likely find the food not up to the same standard as other independent cafes and restaurants in the area.

Don’t let that put you off, as the building itself is worth a visit, with its high ceilings, bare brick walls and traditional architecture. On a sunny day, we’d recommend enjoying a reasonably priced drink in the beer garden which looks towards the Pier Head.
